The purpose of the Presbyterian Women's ministry is to: STRENGTHEN THE CHURCH-Support the church's mission, witness to God's Kingdom and strengthen the Presbyterian Church (USA). BUILD COMMUNITY-Create an inclusive and caring community of women. WORK FOR JUSTICE AND PEACE-Advocate for justice and peace. NURTURE FAITH-Develop faith through prayer and Bible Study. The Presbyterian Women's organization with the Presbyterian Church (USA) has over 200,000 members. Members participate in groups at the congregation, presbytery, and synod levels. Presbyterian Women has been strengthening the church for more than 200 years. The Presbyterian Church (USA) first ordained women as elders in 1930 and as ministers of Word and Sacrament in 1956. They meet in the Conference room the 2nd Thursday of each month at 10:30 am. If you would like to attend and join in this Prayer and Bible time as well as planning for events time, please come on these days.
