Our Arts & Craft Festival was yet another successful day! Thanks to all the great bakers and helpers who made this event such an success! We raised over $1100.00 and everyone had a wonderful time. We had over 51 vendors with homemade wreaths, knit goods, jewelry, scents, shell, tupperware and much more! the baked goods all sold out and were delicious and Germaine sold 3 of Mary's chunky knit blankets! The Chapel and Church was in representation and had 2 couples, and many others come up and ask about the church and guess what...?...they came to Worship Service on that Sunday! Great work, Al & Lynne, Cathy, Bob Tully, and Pastor Frank! All proceeds of this event go locally to the community for those in need. Next Arts & Craft Fesitvel: Saturday, November 16th from 10 am until 3 pm. The theme will be of the HOLIDAY SEASON! Come out and support this great cause! This event's proceeds will go toward the cost of our 100th year anniversary celebration in June of 2025.

November 16th will be the final Arts & Craft Festival for the year and we are looking to go out with a bang! This will be a fantastic opportunity to get some Christmas gifts for family, friends, co-workers, etc. This one will be all about the Christmas holidays...so save up your money and go shopping! we will be interested in those in our congregation and perhaps the community to donate Christmas items that are still in undamaged shape and perfect for re-sale. We would like to fill half of the Fellowship Hall with the gifts of Christmas! You would need to be sure they are brought to the church between the 1st and 10th of November so we can organize and price them to sell. Again, all proceeds go to the 100th year anniversary event. More in the November newsletter.

Do you knit, crochet, or have a craft to share? Please join the "Stitch and a Prayer" group every Tuesday at the church at 1 pm, for fellowship, laughter, and to create homemade things to sell at our craft fair in November.

There will be a learn-to-chunk-knit night! The materials that you will bee to bring with you are 2 skeins of chunky yarn, preferable the Bernat Big Blanket Yarn and your fingers! Pass the word along about this upcoming class. You may be able to complete a blanket to see at the Craft Fair in May of 2025. The date is: Friday, October 18th at 6 pm. Refreshments will be served.

Please continue to help support the food bank by contributing non-perishable items. Our goal is 2100 pounds by December. In September we received a little over 185 pounds of food! The total to date is a little over 1311 pounds! We have about 790 pounds to go! That means that for October, November and December we need 265 pounds EACH month! With God...all things are possible! Keep up the excellent work! Pick up a bag the first Sunday of every month and return the following Sunday. Delivery to the Food Bank is the next day, Monday at 9 am.

Be sure to check out our Facebook page for the church. LIKE, FOLLOW, and SHARE when on there! Also when LIVE STREAMING! It helps the church!

Coming in November is Stewardship Month and the Samaritan Purse Christmas Shoebox. Be praying for the Lord to direct your path to a time of giving. We are planning a "Shoebox Packing Party" around the first of November. Start collecting items for boys and girls of all ages. Items of fun and faith. There will be a list upcoming with what to get. Be watching the bulletin and the boards for more information and announcements regarding all the missions that the church is involved in. Also, we are now collecting for the Presbyterian Home in Florence (list is in the Fellowship Hall), socks for the SOCK TREE, coats, sweaters, etc for Thornwell Home and perhaps a little added contribution to Helping Hands.  Our plans is to donate money to their Thanksgiving Turkey dinner program that they do, for families that need food during the holidays.  I know that times are tough...but with prayer..the Lord will provide! Thank you for all your help in the upcoming months leading up to the holidays!

Office hours at the present time are Monday through Wednesday, 9:30 am until 1:00 pm. Thursday and Friday, 9-11 am. If you need help after or before those hours, please call the church at 843-651-3751 and leave a message and someone will return your call within 24 hours. Thanks! If you would be able to help in the office, please contact Mary.

NOTE: there is a comment box in the Narthex if you would like to make a suggestion.

If you have any ideas of guest speakers for our Coffee Chat time on occasion, please let the office know. Speaking of Coffee Chat, if you would like to help with the goodies, please sign the sheet in the Fellowship Hall. Your goodies are appreciated and will be enjoyed by all!

The speakers we find can give each of us resource to help those in need or ourselves...because you never know when you will need the services of a neighbor or friend. There are those in our church and community who may need some help or just a kind phone call or a short loving note. Let us be prayerful.

Upcoming date to remember: LIFELINE SCREENING-Wednesday, October 23rd from 9 am until 4 pm with appointments only. For more information, call 888-814-0466. We do have a couple of complimentary vouchers for this event. First come, first one to get! Worth: $85.00

Praise be to the Father!
